The Senior Content Manager, acting within the global Content Marketing & Strategy team, is responsible for developing, optimizing, and distributing Munich Re’s global and local business content and messaging across all formats and channels to drive business and corporate strategy. The person in this role creates and implements communication and marketing concepts for internal and external audiences in line with the core and market strategies. This role also produces content to drive profitable growth and build trust for our targeted stakeholders. Its focus is on topics that support the business on a global scale, on regional communication activity, and on internal and external content channels.

Your job

  • Creating communication concepts and content to make sure that strategic and business messages reach the relevant audiences through appropriate and high-impact formats and channels
  • Creating highly effective digital and analog content for well-conceptualized client journeys and a value-adding customer experience. This includes, as appropriate, editorial formats like videos, infographics, blogs, pitch presentations, and data visualization
  • Providing advice about editorial issues, providing strategic and tactical consulting and guidance for anyone seeking to publicize information, and advising colleagues on how to conceptualize, create, and distribute the right content to meet their goals
  • Developing an integrated content strategy that encompasses channel selection and focus, and defining metrics to be applied and aligned with the company’s and business’ overall objectives
  • Identifying, designing, and implementing global communication campaigns in collaboration with other Global Com colleagues
  • Building and maintaining highly collaborative partnerships with Global Com peers to ensure effective and efficient delivery of impactful content across all formats and media
  • Steering and working with external agencies in accordance with Global Com guidelines

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree required, and MBA or master’s degree in communication, economics or another discipline preferred
  • 4+ years’ relevant experience developing and executing multifaceted, integrated multimedia communication campaigns
  • Exceptional editorial and copywriting skills in German and English for all digital and analogue formats
  • Extensive knowledge of content marketing programs and managing content marketing strategy, communication trends, analytics, and best practices in digital and traditional marketing and communications
  • Highly creative, embracing of change, collaborative, and excellent people skills for quickly communicating ideas
  • Experience in influencing and negotiating with stakeholders, business units, clients, and other Group Com departments by providing strategic advice
  • Positive, self-motivated, and growth mindset with high emotional intelligence
  • Strong decisiveness when it comes to efficiency and prioritization matters
